FREDERICKSBURG, Texas, Aug. 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Annually Texans seeking green lifestyles and concerned about drought and the environment have come to the Renewable Energy Roundup & Green Living Fair (The Roundup). For 12 years people have come from across Texas to this growing fall favorite. But what makes The Roundup a unique fair are the participating businesses that practice the Triple Bottom Line; people, planet, and profit. The Roundup provides talks by national leaders and local experts, panel discussions, workshops, cooking demos, product demos and interactive, creative learning activities that help people explore choices for eco friendly, efficient lifestyles and to reduce, recycle and reuse.
The Renewable Energy Roundup takes place the last weekend in September this year the 29 - 30 at Fredericksburg's Market Square, 101 West Main. Tickets are $15 per day or $25 for a 2-day pass.

High school through college students will have the opportunity to race Remote Control (RC) solar cars at the RC Solar Car Race. The race is free and open to all students who bring a RC Solar Car and pre-register. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in both race and design with the 1st place race winner taking home a cash purse!
The Renewable Energy Roundup is co-organized by Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA) and Texas Center for Policy Studies (TCPS).
