MERCHANTVILLE, N.J., Sept. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Go4theGoal Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA).
According to Ed Richardson, NJEA Human Resources Manager, "The fight against cancer is all too real in the lives of so many New Jerseyans, and that struggle can be even more difficult when the victim is a child. That's why NJEA has partnered with Go4theGoal, a nonprofit organization based in New Jersey, which is dedicated to fighting pediatric cancer."
As part of this partnership, NJEA is participating in Go4theGoal's National Dress 4 Pediatric Cancer Day on Thursday, September 27th. To join in this effort, NJEA members may make a tax-deductible contribution of at least $5.00 to Go4theGoal and wear jeans to work that day. Members were also encouraged to enlist their students and school administrations to find creative ways for their schools participate as well.
In an article published in the September 2012 issue of NJEA Review, "Help Your Students Help Others," Beth Stefanacci, Founder and Executive Director at Go4theGoal said, "When students and educators support G4G, they are actually helping kids who are battling cancer within their communities."
One hundred-percent (100%) of the proceeds raised by NJEA on National Dress 4 Pediatric Cancer Day will benefit pediatric cancer patients in New Jersey.
