AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Oct 15, 2012) - L2 Consulting Services, Inc. (L2) announced that is has received FAA approval for the installation of the Rockwell Collins IRT-2120 Iridium SATCOM system on Alaska Airlines fleet of 737-800 aircraft. The project was prompted by operator requirements and included certification of a new ePhone cabin wireless bulkhead cradle configuration. The STC revision was accomplished via an amendment to L2's 737-800 SATCOM installation Supplemental Type Certificate #ST10928SC. The prototype system installation was completed at the end of August and the rest of the 48 aircraft will be retrofitted over the coming months.
