AirTouch(R) Announces Letter of Intent With Ibratele for Assembly and Distribution of SmartLinX(TM)


NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Oct. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AirTouch® Communications (OTCQB:ATCH) (www.airtouchinc.com), a supplier of innovative wireless telecommunications devices, today announced an executed Letter of Intent with Ibratele BRTEC Equipamentos de Telecomunicacoes Ltda. The Letter of Intent outlines the Company's plan to begin selling its line of SmartLinX™ devices into the Brazilian market in 2013. Under the terms, Ibratele will purchase the components or "knock down" parts for the AirTouch SmartLinX U250 and U350 devices. Ibratele will assemble the products at their plant in Sao Paulo. The product will be sold through Ibratele's distribution system and to Claro, a Telmex owned landline property in Brazil.

The Letter of Intent is subject to AirTouch's agreement to allow the product to carry an OEM brand or an Ibratele brand; AirTouch completing the product certification with Anatel; Ibratele confirming the final retail price for the units; and AirTouch providing technical assistance in setting up the assembly in Brazil. The Letter of Intent from Ibratele, subject to the conditions previously mentioned, has indicated that it expects its orders to be approximately $9 million for 2013.
