Plastic Surgeons Build Relationships as Health Club Members Build Muscle

ASPS Partners With Zoom Media's ClubCom(TM) TV Network to Reach Image-Conscious Consumers

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., Jan. 9, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Important plastic surgery information will be reaching the most image-conscious consumers as The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) collaborates with Zoom Media & Marketing, the world's largest fitness digital media company. Zoom will produce ASPS branded videos to be played on its extensive health club television network seen in nearly 3,000 health clubs across the US and Canada. Procedural options and patient safety information will be played before a captive audience in local venues like Gold's Gym, LA Fitness, Bally Total Fitness, JCCs/YMCAs and numerous others.

While consumers are pounding away at the gym, they're watching a combination of entertainment content, relevant and timely fitness programming, and advertisements all produced by Zoom for the ClubCom™ television network. That content now includes plastic surgery content as well as contact information for local ASPS member surgeons who choose to participate.

"There's no better time for us to reach and build relationships with this highly desired audience than when they're working out and thinking about their health and personal appearances," said ASPS President Gregory Evans, MD. "We're glad to add Zoom to our elite group of endorsed businesses that help our ASPS members provide excellent plastic surgery procedures for consumers."

Health club members are a desirable audience for local businesses since they outspend other groups of consumers in categories like restaurants, home improvement, retail, medical, insurance, automotive, financial services and many more. Many of those that belong to a health club are in higher income categories and are massive consumers of cosmetic products and procedures. Research shows body-conscious health club members are thinking about their physical features 45% of the time spent working out.

"This partnership offers ASPS members a unique opportunity to advertise directly to the hard to reach health club member audience by sponsoring ASPS educational content," stated Eric Emerson, Director of Marketing at Zoom Media Connect. "Our ClubCom™ Fitness Network is the primary way health clubs entertain, inform and educate members as they workout."

ASPS endorsed programs offer preferred pricing and special plans designed specifically for ASPS Members. Each business is required to meet a "gold standard" of quality and cost-effectiveness. ASPS endorses only one company per business service.
