Urban Barns in Discussions With International Hospitality Provider


LANGLEY, British Columbia, Jan. 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- URBAN BARNS FOODS INC. (URBF.QB) ("the Company" or "URBAN BARNS"), today announced high level visitations to the growing facility to discuss nutritional values and production capacity.

Recently we announced our Langley, British Columbia location was put into full swing to grow Boston Butter Lettuce, Spinach, Basil, Cilantro, various herbs, and various varieties that constitute Spring Mix. Potential key customers visited the farm to observe our first commercial crop.

Topics discussed included the nutritional value of the plants grown using our Cubic Growing system with additional focuses on custom production of lettuce to be grown in bulk for high end hospitality banquets and unique varieties to feature on restaurant menus.
