Morgan Drexen Hits Lucky "21" for CHOC Children's

Another Successful "Denim Day" as Employees Rally to Help Sick Children

COSTA MESA, Calif., Aug. 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Employees of Morgan Drexen (www.morgandrexen.com) were looking blue today – and as a result hit a major milestone in the company's efforts to help sick children in Orange County. Morgan Drexen's latest "Denim Day", in which workers donate $5 for the privilege of wearing blue jeans to work, generated nearly $500 in donations for Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children's). That brings the total amount raised by Morgan Drexen for CHOC Children's to over $21,000. The company has pledged to raise $35,000 for the world-class organization.

"I'm thrilled that we are getting closer and closer to our goal," said Morgan Drexen CEO Walter Ledda, who has personally donated $10,000 to the cause. "The children served by this hospital, as well as their families, are facing enormous challenges, and I'm proud that our employees have stepped up the way they have."

So far in 2013, Morgan Drexen employees have donated over $2,500 to CHOC Children's.

"As someone who's lived in Orange County all my life, I know all about CHOC Children's and the great work they do," said Morgan Drexen employee Kayden Muzila. "It's exciting to see us get over that $21,000 mark and to know that so many people in this building have chipped in to help."

CHOC Children's is one of the premier children's hospitals in the nation and recently completed construction of a new state-of-the-art patient care tower. The Bill Homes Tower adds 425,000 square feet to the CHOC Children's campus. It features a new and advanced pediatric emergency department, operating rooms, labs, and enhanced family amenities. Morgan Drexen representatives will be touring the new facility in the coming weeks.
