Farpoint to License Leading US "Second Screen" Technology to Japanese Television Networks, Mobile Operators, Professional Sports Teams and their Major Sponsors

New York, NY and Boston, MA, Sept. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PrePlay, Inc., the leading developer of "second screen" predictive mobile games, and Farpoint Ventures LLC, a leading provider of venture finance and international sales and marketing outsourcing services, announced today that they have entered into a three-year agreement to develop the Japan market.

Under the agreement, Farpoint Ventures will act as an extension of PrePlay's sales and marketing team to recruit and sign licensees of PrePlay's gaming technology in Japan. Farpoint will also be responsible for product localization and technical support through its Tokyo office.

"PrePlay is already the official predictive gaming app of Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League, and just announced the release of CBS Sports PrePlay which will offer PrePlay's exciting gaming experience for all Pro and many college football games.  International expansion is a natural next step for us," said PrePlay CEO Andrew Daines.

"Japan is the second-largest baseball market in the world," said James Ryan, Managing Partner of Farpoint Ventures LLC. "As a baseball fan who spent 12 years in Japan, I am personally quite excited to be working with PrePlay to bring their technology to sports fans all over Japan."
