Associa's Greg Smith Named CAI President-Elect


LAS VEGAS, May 4, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Greg Smith, president of Associa Northern California, has been elected 2016 president-elect for the national Community Associations Institute (CAI) Board of Trustees. The current board made the vote official at its National Conference & Exposition April 29 - May 2 in Las Vegas. This means that Smith will be the organization's president in 2017.

"I am honored to serve on this board and appreciative of my peers for putting their faith in me to lead them as its president-elect next year and president in 2017," says Smith. "My experiences at Associa have helped prepare me well as I've been on the forefront of this industry's transformation over the last few years."

Smith earned his CMCA®, AMS® and PCAM® certifications through CAI and has been active as a committee and board member for more than 10 years. He is currently serving in his fourth year on CAI's national Board of Trustees and fifth year on CAI's Association of Professional Community Managers (APCM) Board of Directors, for which he just completed his term as chair.
