Waterloo Brewing Wins Big at Global Brewing Awards

KITCHENER, ON--(Marketwired - May 12, 2015) - Brick Brewing Co. Limited ("Brick" or the "Company") (TSX: BRB), the largest Canadian-owned and Canadian-based publicly held brewery in Ontario, today announced its unprecedented performance at Monde Selection, the global product quality awards that are presented in Belgium.

"Every one of the craft beers we submitted was awarded either gold or silver," declared Russell Tabata, Chief Operating Officer, Brick Brewing. "We were awarded five golds and two silvers for the seven beers we submitted. We are certainly proud to win a global brewing quality award but we're incredibly pleased with the high degree of consistency across the entire Waterloo Brewing family. It means as long as the name Waterloo Brewing is on the label, people can trust it to be a world-class, quality, craft beer."

"Four years ago we invested expertise, capital and time to raise the bar on the quality of our products. That culminated in Brick Brewing becoming the first craft brewer in Canada to be GSFI certified -- one of the highest standards for food safety in the world," continued Russell Tabata. "Our investment in product quality will take a further step forward when we open our brand new brewhouse this summer which will bring advanced brewing technology to the crafting and quality of our beers."

"Waterloo IPA, Amber, Oatmeal Porter, Vanilla Porter and Grapefruit Radler all took gold. Waterloo Dark and Pilsner took silver," praised George Croft, President and CEO. "We are thrilled with this accomplishment. And we're prouder still of the people who work so hard here in Kitchener/Waterloo to brew these fine beers for the people of Ontario."
