Anthem Chiropractic Sponsors Hole at 18th Annual Bower Golf Tournament

HENDERSON, Nev. , Oct. 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Anthem Chiropractic announced that the practice is sponsoring a hole at the 18th Annual Bower Golf Tournament. The charity tournament is being held Saturday, October 24, 2015, and is raising funds for the Dr. Joel & Carol Bower School-Based Health Center, a component fund of the Henderson Community Foundation. Henderson chiropractor Dr. Derek T. Day says his practice is sponsoring a hole in the tournament both as an opportunity to give back to the community and also to raise awareness about the benefits of chiropractic care for treating golf-related injuries.

“On behalf of the Anthem Chiropractic team, I’m honored to announce our sponsorship of a hole at the 18th Annual Bower Golf Tournament,” said Dr. Derek T. Day. “This tournament is an important opportunity to give back to our community. The Henderson Community Foundation is a local organization with deep roots in our community that helps people invest in the causes they care most about.”

The Dr. Joel & Carol Bower School-Based Health Center fund supports the school-based health center at the Nevada State College to address the significant unmet health needs of Henderson children. The school-based health center serves Henderson school children between the ages of four and 19.

“Expanding access to essential, affordable health care is extremely important for the children in our community,” said Dr. Day. “As a chiropractic physician, I see every day the difference that preventative care can make for whole body health. All children deserve to a healthy head start to life.”

In addition to being a strong supporter of the golf tournament’s charitable mission, Dr. Day is also using his sponsorship as an opportunity to educate his fellow golfers about the benefits of chiropractic care for treating golf injuries.

“Golf is a fun, challenging sport that many enjoy playing for decades,” said Dr. Day. “Unfortunately, golf is also physically taxing on the body’s joints. An improper swing, for example, can strain ligaments and tendons in the shoulders and elbow. Playing golf can also increase the risk for lower back pain.”

According to Dr. Day, chiropractic care is a safe, effective, non-invasive treatment option for naturally managing pain related to golf injuries.

“Many patients find that chiropractic adjustments are an effective option for bringing correct alignment back to the spine and supporting the body’s natural injury recovery process,” said Dr. Day. “For ongoing care, our chiropractic team can put together a custom treatment program to safely manage pain without the need for medication.”

Anthem Chiropractic is a family practice providing chiropractic care for auto accident injuries, sports injuries, and personal injuries. Henderson chiropractor Dr. Day recently received a certificate of recognition for completion of Phase 1 of training on the Autotrax Spinal Decompression Table, a drug-free treatment option for lower back pain.
