ICA Capital Markets Day: updated valuation of ICA’s property portfolio and review of online operations

Today, 11 December 2015, ICA Gruppen is holding a Capital Markets Day in
Stockholm. The programme includes a review of the group’s strategic priorities
and targets as well as a review of the operations of Apotek Hjärtat, ICA Real
Estate and ICA Sweden, with a more in-depth look at online operations.
ICA Gruppen’s management will today meet financial analysts, bank
representatives and the media in order to present the company’s strategies, view
of the market and investment projects. One important area that will be looked at
is the forthcoming sale of ICA’s properties in Norway. ICA Real Estate will
present a valuation of the total property stock held by wholly owned and partly
owned companies, which amounts to SEK 17.8 billion; of this, the properties in
Norway are valued at SEK 2.5 billion.

Another area that will be dealt with is ICA’s online operations. Here ICA can
report that 10% of the total growth in retail this year is expected to come from
online trading. ICA now has more than 150 stores that offer online shopping, and
around 150 more that have registered their interest. ICA’s surveys of customers
who have used the service show that 96% of respondents say they would use it to
shop again, and a survey carried out among card customers shows that those who
have started shopping online spend 22% more at ICA and become more loyal to ICA.
