HomeAway Expands Global Marketing Leadership Team

HomeAway announces the hiring of three new global vice presidents, leading its public relations, customer relationship management and brand teams.

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - HomeAway, Inc., the world leader in vacation rentals, today announces the appointment of three key global marketing hires from world-class brands: Dell, Electronic Arts and Whole Foods Market.

Kate Lowery joins the company as Global Vice President of Public Relations, Kristen Nolte as Global Vice President of Customer Relationship Management and Steven Stamstad as Global Vice President of Brand.

"An unwavering focus on marketing is critically important, especially as competition increases and hotels remain top-of-mind for travelers," says HomeAway® Chief Marketing Officer Mariano Dima. "We're thrilled to add new leadership to our already-strong marketing team, and we look forward to working together as we continue to increase awareness of whole-home rentals and remain the undisputed leader in the category."

Kate Lowery will lead HomeAway's global public relations and corporate communications. She most recently served as the Global Executive Coordinator of PR for Whole Foods Market, where she led the company through tremendous growth and brand awareness in her 15-year tenure. She also has a decade of management experience at two of world's leading PR agencies, Burson-Marsteller and Fleishman-Hillard.

HomeAway welcomes Kristen Nolte the Global Vice President of Customer Relationship Management, where she will define a global, cross-brand digital strategy with the goal of increasing conversion and customer loyalty. Before joining HomeAway, Nolte was the head of all CRM activities across the global consumer group at Dell for five years and was most recently the Chief Marketing Officer at Exclusive Resorts.

As the Global Vice President of Brand, Steven Stamstad will oversee the development of the company's brand architecture and initiatives that drive awareness and communicate HomeAway's brand proposition across all customer touch points. He was most recently at Electronic Arts where he spent several years as the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for the mobile division. Stamstad was previously at The Walt Disney Company, where he served as Vice President of Marketing and Creative for five years.

HomeAway has already made major investments in marketing in 2015, including TV advertising and partnerships with influencers such as Kid President and Prince Ea. Each marketing initiative has been built upon the platform, "The whole house. The whole family. A whole vacation.TM", introduced earlier this year in celebration of HomeAway's 10th anniversary.
