Douglas Hamilton, M.D. Reveals the Latest Anti-Aging Trend from the 2016 Golden Globes Red Carpet

Celebrity Dermatologist Uses Newly Approved Radiesse to Prepare Celeb Hands for the Red Carpet

Los Angeles, Jan. 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In an interview at the 2016 Golden Globes, celebrity dermatologist Douglas Hamilton, M.D. revealed the latest A-List anti-aging trend is all about turning back the hands of time (literally). The Beverly Hills dermatologist teased he “may have treated” at least one celebrity on the Golden Globes’ red carpet with Radiesse, a long-lasting dermal filler recently approved for use in plumping the backs of hands.

“We may help you fool the world with a young looking face. However, if your high five says 50 or more, it can all fall apart,” said Dr. Hamilton. “I have been using Radiesse since the week it became available in the U.S. and I’ve performed two clinical trials for the company, Bioform/Mertz. Since it is a filler that parallels bone (calcium hydroxy apatite) it is very useful in contouring faces—nose bridge, chin, and jawlines. However, as you may or may not have realized on the Golden Globes’ red carpet, it is also incredibly effective at reversing visible signs of aging in the hands.”

For celebs whose hands have lost volume due to fat loss and skin thinning, Dr. Hamilton, who has offices in Beverly Hills and Woodland Hills, California, has mastered the art of “red carpet ready” hands. Additionally, he has also successfully used Radiesse on other common “problem” areas of the body, including cellulite depressions.

“When it comes to celebrities, the body is certainly the new frontier for age-reversing technologies,” said Dr. Hamilton. “I have met with several high profile patients who naturally or otherwise had faces of someone in their 20's, but their elbows shouted otherwise. Now, with the approval of fillers such a Radiesse for the hands, I can ensure there are no chinks in their youthful appearance."

As the first ever filler to be approved for the treatment of aging hands, Radiesse boasts the lowest incidence of allergies of any filler and a duration that is up to three times longer than the popular Restylane/Juvederm/Perlane/Voluma group.

"The Globes are such a wonderful part of Hollywood lore. Our Beverly Hills office is walking distance from the Beverly Hilton, so my staff wanted me to hold an after Globe party and have Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler drop by. I thought it would have been a little hard to accomplish this time around, but there is always next year," said Dr. Hamilton.
