253 Regulatory Professionals Earned RAC Credential in Autumn 2015

ROCKLAND, Md., Feb. 4, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) has announced the names of 253 regulatory professionals who earned the Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) credential during the most recent certification exam period in autumn 2015. The RAC is earned by passing one or more of four rigorous RAC exams.

A complete list of all who earned the RAC credential in autumn 2015 is available online at http://www.raps.org/Regulatory-Focus/RAPS-Latest/2016/02/02/24227/253-Regulatory-Professionals-Earned-RAC-Credential-in-Autumn-2015/.

The RAC is the only professional credential specifically for those involved with the regulation of healthcare products. Once earned, RAC holders must maintain their credentials through continuous learning, professional development or leadership activities. The exams and the criteria for maintaining the credential are developed, managed and administered by the Regulatory Affairs Certification Board (RACB) with support from RAPS.

RAC-credentialed professionals work in all parts of the world and in diverse professional settings—industry, government agencies, academic organizations and others. RAPS' research shows they earn an average of 10.6% more than their peers without the credential.

The four different RAC certifications available are: the RAC (US) covering US regulations, the RAC (EU) covering European regulations, the RAC (CAN) covering Canadian regulations and the RAC (Global), which covers general regulatory responsibilities and international standards.

The registration deadline for the next RAC exam period this spring is 1 March 2016. Exams will be administered at locations around the world 1 April–31 May. For more information, visit http://www.raps.org/rac/.
