Novastep Moves into Expanded U.S. Headquarters in New York

Orangeburg, New York, Feb. 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Novastep, Inc., and its affiliates (“Novastep” or the “Company”), a global medical device company specializing in the foot and ankle, today announced the move of their U.S. headquarters from Wrentham, MA to Orangeburg, NY.

Vadim Gurevich, the President and CEO of Novastep, Inc. stated that “The company is vigorously expanding its presence in the U.S. as we systematically escalate our product and service offerings.  Our new facility is a reflection of this growth and was designed to improve efficiencies by consolidating our administrative, warehousing, customer services and shipping capabilities under one roof.  This move is very much in line with Novastep’s ongoing commitment to support our rapidly growing customer base and their evolving needs.  Being so close to Manhattan, one of the world’s major centers of commerce, provides us with opportune access for servicing the entire nation.  Although we are international in scope, we take great pride in being a New York based company.”

Novastep’s penetration of the U.S. foot and ankle market space has been driven by a coordinated sequence of technology innovations, product launches, delivery system advances and a highly acclaimed Global Foot and Ankle Symposium (GFAS) program, the company’s flagship medical education platform, which is traditionally held during the first weekend of December each year.  Gurevich also revealed that “Novastep is averaging at least one new product launch every 45 days.  Our engineering team has created an assertive R & D pipeline that will give rise to the most complete foot and ankle portfolio on the market.”

Novastep’s product range already includes the Airlock® forefoot plating system that provides a choice of locking and non-locking screws, Arcad® temperature-independent memory alloy staples, the Lync® hammertoe correction system, the FusionFrame® circular external fixator and a comprehensive selection of Nexis® headed, headless and snap-off screws.  Gregory Gledel, President and CEO of Novastep SAS, Novastep Inc.’s sister company in Rennes, France, emphasized that “Our transatlantic reach encourages the synthesis of innovative thinking among our international panel of surgeon advisors.  We provide an exceptional forum for some of the world’s most respected foot and ankle surgeons to convene and forge valuable partnerships with their peers as well as our company.  Perfect examples of such cross-border collaboration are the cleanSTART® single-use sterile technology and the Lync hammertoe implant.”

All Novastep implants have been engineered for delivery under the cleanSTART deployment umbrella, providing hospitals and surgery centers with a systematized approach towards operating room efficiency and streamlined inventory control. cleanSTART is based on the concept of integrated modularity for both implants and instruments.  The platform embodies a versatile combination of sterile packaging technologies that dovetails the company’s implants and instruments with the company’s quickTube® nested cylinders, quickSTACK® containers and a fully customizable Implant Dispenser console.  The cleanSTART framework saves space in the OR, reduces sterilization costs, simplifies traceability protocols and adapts any combination of Novastep implants and instruments to satisfy a wide mixture of end-user requirements.

CleanSTART, along with other Novastep product lines will be featured this week during the ACFAS 2016 Annual Scientific Conference in Austin, TX at Booth No. 1627/1629
