GWS Production AB signs agreement with German travel insurance provider Dr. Walter GmbH

Global Warning System (GWS) announces an agreement with a German expert in insuring private and business travelers, Dr. Walter GmbH. The initial order value of the contract is about 1,5 million SEK paid over 3 years, related to the 50 000 existing policyholders that will have the GWS Safeture service included in their insurance solution.

The GWS Safeture service concept is a personal security service when traveling, which provides critical information about disasters and other threats, directly in the traveler's smartphone through an app that is easily downloaded. Dr. Walter GmbH is a well-established expert in insuring private and business travel as well as stays abroad. The company was 2015 awarded Star Insurance Provider for the fourth time in a row. Various international educational organizations voted for Dr. Walter as Insurance Provider of the Year in the categories educational travel, internships abroad and high school stays.

The agreement with GWS involves a rebranding of the Safeture app, which will be integrated in, and a natural part of Dr. Walter's mobility focus for both private individuals and business customers. The launch is planned before summer. The goal is to help existing and new policy holders stay aware, increase their peace of mind and reduce the number of claims. CEO of Dr. Walter, Reinhardt Bellinghausen, explains the benefits of the cooperation:

"We have been in this business for more than 50 years, continuously developing our offer and services to fit the needs of today's travelers like expatriates, business travelers and development workers. A very important part of everyday life is a person's mobile phone, and it is a natural step for us to add a mobile-based service for our customers, helping them stay safe during extended stays and travels. Safeture fits our overall service portfolio as well as our product development strategy."

For GWS, the insurance segment has proved itself being a successful expansion initiative, where the Safeture service creates a lot of customer value. Andreas Rodman, CEO of GWS, comments on the contract:

"The insurance industry sees advantages in our solution, since it offers a possibility to prevent the user from being exposed to accidents, threats and other incidents that may occur when traveling abroad. That works extremely well together with an insurance offering. We are very happy to have further established GWS in this segment by signing a contract with Dr. Walter, a very well-renowned company within the industry, and with a target group well suited for our services."
