Welocalize Releases GlobalSight Version 8.6.7

FREDERICK, MD--(Marketwired - Apr 13, 2016) - Welocalize, global leader in innovative translation and localization solutions, announced today the latest release of the proprietary open-source translation management system (TMS), GlobalSight. The new release now supports the translation of XLIFF bilingual files, supporting the industry standards for a number of systems.

Welocalize GlobalSight TMS enables organizations to manage, translate and deliver increasing volumes of global content.

"We are pleased to announce the latest release of Welocalize's GlobalSight, which provides greater functionality and connectivity to users around the world," said Genara Rodriguez, senior manager, deployments and program support at Welocalize. "GlobalSight 8.6.7 focuses on what is important to our users, including increased connectivity across systems and providing better context for translations and reviews."

The four main enhancements in GlobalSight 8.6.7 include:

  • Improved connectivity by building connectors to AEM/CQ5 and Drupal 8. The Eloqua connector has also been improved to support dynamic content.
  • Better visibility and context with new In Context Review feature. The In Context Review Tool for INDD/IDML and Office 2010 allows preview and insertion of comments and modifications on translated documents in PDF format.
  • Support of XLIFF as a source format. GlobalSight 8.6.7 now supports the translation of XLIFF 2.0 bilingual files, supporting industry standards for a number of systems.
  • Improved support of clients who do not have the Java plugin. The Java plugin is no longer required for GlobalSight online editors.
