Mountainview Low-Residency MFA Hosts Author Joshua Cohen


Manchester, NH, June 19, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Monday afternoon the low-residency MFA program of Southern New Hampshire University was delighted to host prolific author Joshua Cohen during summer residency at the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa in the scenic White Mountains. MFA director Benjamin Nugent and Cohen discussed the craft of fiction as well as the author’s career in publishing and his forthcoming novel Moving Kings.

Cohen has received great acclaim for both his fiction and non-fiction. His novel Witz was named a Best Book of 2010 by The Village VoiceFour New Messages was named a Best Book of 2012 by The New York Times. Book of Numbers was named a Best Book of 2015 by The Wall Street Journal, NPR, and New York Magazine. His essays have appeared all over the literary map, including in Harpers, The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, Bookforum, The London Review of Books, and elsewhere.
