Vound Releases Intella® 2.1 and Intella® Connect 2.1 at ILTACON

New features include Identities modeling, integrated ABBYY OCR engine, email threading, and iTunes backup indexing

Denver, CO, Aug. 08, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vound, a leading global provider of eDiscovery, forensic search, and early case assessment technology, Intella, announces it will release Intella 2.1 and web-enabled Intella Connect 2.1 at ILTACON, held August 13th - 17th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.  Intella fuses eDiscovery, forensic search and analytics features into a unified, end-to-end digital investigation platform.  The release of Intella 2.1 includes a new, integrated OCR engine (ABBYY FineReader) that allows users to OCR items directly within Intella and requires no additional software or license.  Intella 2.1 also features identities modeling, email threading, and iTunes backup indexing across multiple devices.  Vound will demonstrate Intella 2.1 at booth #425.

OCR is critical to eDiscovery professionals and streamlines the process of litigation discovery. Recognition servers enable attorneys, paralegals and other highly-trained and highly-paid professionals to focus on more critical and higher value tasks. Intella customers worldwide now have integrated OCR functionality delivered by ABBYY FineReader at no additional cost.

Vound drives continuous value to the users of Intella.  Deployed at over 1500 organizations worldwide, including the AmLaw 100 and 200, Intella lowers an organization’s total cost of ownership for their digital investigation software by reducing processing time of large volumes of data by an average of 80%, providing a substantially user-friendly platform that reduces training investments and enables a broad range of reviewers to deliver accurate results quickly.

Key functions of Intella include processing of leading cloud sources, Dropbox, Office 365 (incl. OneDrive), SharePoint, and Gmail as well as crypto currency detection and skin tone analysis. Some of the new features of Intella 2.1 are:

  • Email threads are now detected and visualized. This includes the determination of the inclusive emails: together these cover all the content in the thread. This can reduce review time and effort. Missing emails are highlighted in the thread.
  • Identities modeling lets one build an "address book" of the persons of interest, bundling their aliases such as email addresses, phone numbers and chat accounts into a single unit. Various facets and displays use this to improve their content.
  • Integrated OCR option.  This lets users OCR items directly from within Intella, without requiring any additional software, systems, or licenses. This functionality is available in all Intella editions, regardless of the license type.
  • Recovery of deleted files in NTFS disk images using the MFT.
  • Indexing non-encrypted iTunes backups

Intella Connect 2.1:

  • Connect servers can now be connected to give reviewers a single point of access for all their cases regardless of which Connect servers are hosting them.
  • Enhanced Indexing functionality to include a redesigned load file import facility, new source types, tasks support, OCR, content analysis (incl. skin tone analysis).
  • Enhanced batching and coding functionality.

Peter Mercer, Chief Technology Officer of Vound, says “Our focus has always been to provide our users with world class software that can deliver repeatable and significant ROI back to their organizations.  To that end, we relentlessly pursue developing the features reviewers actually need to do their jobs exceptionally well—and then endeavor to deliver those market-leading features at the best value in the industry.  We are pleased to continue to deliver on this vision with Intella 2.1 and Intella Connect 2.1.”
