New York, NY, April 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Furnished Quarters, the largest independently owned and operated provider of temporary furnished apartments, has announced two pet-friendly initiatives in celebration of National Pet Day: a dog and cat adoption event with pet welfare organization Bideawee, and the FQ Pets on the Move program for guests traveling with their furry friends.
The adoption event will take place April 19, from 5 to 7pm at the Grove Street PATH Plaza in Jersey City, just steps from Furnished Quarters' residences at Grove Pointe and Marbella. Bideawee’s mobile adoption van will be on site with adorable dogs and cats available for adoption, with both organizations providing fun treats for pets and humans alike. This marks the second consecutive year Furnished Quarters has hosted an adoption event with Bideawee.
In addition, Furnished Quarters has launched the FQ Pets on the Move program to accommodate four-legged guests traveling with their human companions. Guests with dogs are supplied with stainless steel food and water bowls, plus a cotton rope chew toy. Those staying with cats are provided with kitty litter, disposable litter boxes and a KONG Naturals scratching toy.
The majority of Furnished Quarters’ properties welcome pets, including those recently added to the company’s San Francisco Bay Area portfolio.
