DALLAS, May 23, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PERFORM 2018 Host Analytics today announced over 35 new enhancements in its Spring18 release. The release includes the new Spotlight for Office, advancements to Host Analytics Reporting and Host Analytics Dashboards and performance improvements. The release also delivers new functionality and usability enhancements businesses need to improve transparency, reporting, and drive actionable insights. With its latest innovations, the company continues to transform its customers’ ability to get their jobs done faster and easier.

“In the last year alone, we have delivered 210 new capabilities to our customers,” said Dave Kellogg, CEO of Host Analytics. “This latest release reaffirms our commitment to innovation and to enhancing every aspect of our platform to deliver even greater value to our customers.”

Spotlight for Office
With Spotlight for Office, customers can harness the power of Microsoft Office for presenting information while ensuring “one version of the truth” from a centralized, secure data store. Presentations and documents can be built once with live links to the data and used as often as needed, saving valuable time and eliminating errors caused by manual cutting and pasting. Once a report is created in Excel, PowerPoint or Word it can be accessed anywhere and delivers data security, integrity, and confidence in the data by relying on the Host Analytics platform as its foundation. With the push of a button, data can be dynamically refreshed; ensuring it is always accurate and up to date.

In addition to delivering management and financial reporting from Word and PowerPoint, Host Analytics customers can now build and analyze Spotlight XL and Spotlight Web reports directly from the financial planning cube, reducing the time and effort required to build and analyze financial reports in Spotlight.

Enhanced Dashboards and Reporting
New enhancements to Host Dashboards will enable users to build dashboards that include operational model data. This update gives business users the power of data-rich visualizations to analyze performance, spot trends, and make agile adjustments to their daily operations. Users can also now build global calculation metrics in Dashboards that are defined once and used repeatedly in any dashboard, reducing time.

Host Reporting also introduces an enhancement to allow planning and capital detail drill-through without any configuration required. Users now have the ability to drill through to template data and template sub-line data while analyzing reports, enabling users to trace data values back to their source templates.  These enhancements provide greater data transparency and traceability with less effort.

Improved Performance
Improved performance reduces the time to run and perform calculations on large operational models with high dimensionality improving performance by over 90 percent. As a result, users get faster insights, the ability to build more complex models, and make better business decisions.

Re-architected segment hierarchies loading, make imports faster by over 80 percent, and scalable over larger datasets.

In addition, enhanced grid capabilities improve the processing speed of larger data sets in Data Load Rules.

Other New Features:

  • Customers can now import, store, and drill into Asian language character or any double-byte character transaction-level detail, making it easier and more efficient to gain deeper insight into and manage global finance operations
  • New MyPlan interface with customization so that customers can add as many panels as desired
  • Capabilities to enhance and simplify the displaying and editing of headcount and capital data within MyPlan
  • New Integration API with Workiva
