NSTAR Global Services Announces Divestiture from M+W Group

SAN FRANCISCO, July 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NSTAR Global Services, a leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and facility service company serving high tech manufacturing industries, today formally announced its management buyout and divestiture from M+W Group Americas. Effective April 16, 2018 NSTAR is, once again, an independent privately held company.

“Becoming a stand-alone company again bolsters NSTAR’s entrepreneurial spirit and allows us to be more competitive in this market space,” said Darrell McDaniel, president and CEO of NSTAR Global Services. “NSTAR has a proven track record of success within the technical field, and 18 years of strong financial results. Our customers can be confident in our stability, and our independent status allows us to be much more nimble and flexible in solving their technical workforce challenges.”

The Research Triangle, N.C.-based company was founded in 2001 and then acquired by M+W Group’s holding company M+W Americas, Inc. in 2010. NSTAR has seen continued year-over-year growth, and has traditionally focused on the semiconductor industry, with expansion into high tech adjacent markets such as solar, LED/flat-panel display, life sciences and automation. Both companies realized the divestiture would be optimal because of a change in market demand, and so that each could focus on its core competencies.

NSTAR’s breadth of experience, including the technical background of its field team, allows the company to develop and deliver flexible solutions to assist customers in meeting their specific technical needs. It offers a host of services such as permanent placement, recruiting and staffing, OEM equipment services, facility services and asset relocation.
