CHG Healthcare Raises Over $500,000 During Annual “Making a Difference Week”

Employees and company donate to support United Way and local charities through Puppy Kissing Booth, Matchbox races and more

Salt Lake City, Nov. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As a company dedicated to Putting People First, the employees at CHG Healthcare have raised over $500,000 during its annual fundraising event, “Making a Difference Week.” CHG Healthcare is the nation’s largest privately held healthcare staffing company and employs 2,700 people across the country.

“Making a Difference Week” is a slate of fundraising activities and other charitable giving projects to benefit United Way and other local charities. CHG has hosted the event for more than a decade.

Among the most popular fundraising opportunities was the Puppy Kissing Booth, where a donation earned employees a ten-minute snuggle with puppies and kittens from local animal shelters, with the option to adopt the animals afterward. Other fundraising events during “Making a Difference Week” were Jukebox Wars, Matchbox races, Bingo and Casino Night.

"We appreciate the opportunity to give back to our local communities and believe it has a great benefit for everyone across the board," says Kevin Ricklefs, senior vice president of talent management at CHG Healthcare. "Not only do we make an important difference financially for local nonprofits, but our people are more engaged for having been a part of it."
