Key hires build upon LifeSci’s highly experienced senior team and expertise in medicine and science


NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LifeSci Public Relations LLC (LSPR) today announced the expansion of its Public Relations team with the hiring of industry leader, Andrew Mielach, Cherilyn Cecchini, M.D., and two academic scientists, Madeline Corrigan, Ph.D. and Amy Jobe, Ph.D. These additions bolster the agency’s high science capabilities, delivering comprehensive and strategic communications programs for clients in healthcare and the life sciences.

Andrew Mielach joins LSPR from JFK Communications, where he served as managing supervisor and an account co-lead for multiple large pharma commercial campaigns. Prior to JFK, Mr. Mielach served as vice president at Ruder Finn tasked with guiding several high-profile large pharma clients. Before Ruder, he was vice president and media relations team lead at Tiberend Strategic Advisors, providing strategic communications counsel to many emerging life sciences companies. Mr. Mielach earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Seton Hall University.

Cherilyn Cecchini, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician and joins LSPR after serving as house staff in general pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Her research focus throughout her medical career centered on end-of-life care communications. Prior to residency training, Dr. Cecchini received her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from The Pennsylvania State University.

Madeline Corrigan, Ph.D., joins LSPR from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she was an assistant research professor in the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Wearable Robotics. Dr. Corrigan has extensive experience in medical device development, robotics and biomechanical research. She received her Ph.D. and M.S. in biomedical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and her B.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Amy Jobe, Ph.D., joins LSPR after having completed her postdoctoral studies and Ph.D. at Columbia University in a Nobel Prize winning laboratory. Her work employed electron microscopy to study the detailed three-dimensional structure of the cellular machine that makes proteins in all forms of life. Dr. Jobe earned her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Cornell University.
