Edwards’ hire builds on the firm’s recent strength and extends its institutional growth. He will provide his expertise in innovating and broadening products and client partnerships to allow the firm to expand its capacity to continue delivering high Sharpe and uncorrelated returns.

Edwards brings significant experience to Weiss in both portfolio management and firm leadership. He was previously head of the U.S. business for Arrowgrass Capital Partners, as well as a member of its executive committee and global head of its event-driven strategy. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager for D. E. Shaw & Co.’s special situations group and an M&A banker in Credit Suisse’s technology group.
Edwards graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School.
