STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Swedish medical technology and IT company Sectra has received an order for digital radiology from Rikshospitalet in Oslo, Norway. The order value amounts to USD 1.3 Million and includes Sectra's system for picture archiving and communication (PACS). Installations will begin in 2002.
With the order from Rikshospitalet, Sectra has received three large orders from major hospitals in Norway within a short period of time.
Rikshospitalet, is a highly specialized state owned university hospital located in the Norwegian capital Oslo. The radiology department at Rikshospitalet performs approximately 80.000 radiology examinations annually. Apart from these examinations, Rikshospitalet is frequently consulted for specialist diagnoses on radiology examinations carried out at other hospitals.
