(Nasdaq:VRGE), a Member Partner within the Oracle PartnerNetwork, today announced that its video and rich media communication software now supports Oracle9i Database. As a result, Virage customers can store, manage and publish video and other rich media assets on an Oracle(r) database technology just as they do with other mission critical information.

In a related announcement today, Virage announced the availability of VS Publishing 2.0, a next-generation product that allows companies with branded content to turn their video and other rich media content into compelling Internet programming. VS Publishing and VS Production, which was announced in April 2002, are the first Virage applications to support the Oracle9i Database. Virage expects to release additional Oracle-powered applications in the near future.
