Skanska Strengthens Group Management


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 17, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Skanska's Group management, the Senior Executive Team, is to be expanded with the addition of two new members, Thomas Alm and Johan Bergman, who are simultaneously appointed Executive Vice Presidents of Skanska AB.

Thomas Alm, age 52, has held a number of positions within Skanska since 1981, most recently as president of Skanska Financial Services. He has a Bachelor of Laws (LL B) degree from Lund University.

Since joining Skanska in 1990, Johan Bergman, age 38, has worked actively in the company's project development units in Sweden and continental Europe. He has a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Economics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Following the additions, Skanska's Senior Executive Team now has the following composition and distribution of major responsibilities for those business units that report directly to management:

Stuart Graham, President and CEO, is responsible for Skanska USA Building, Skanska USA Civil, Beers Skanska and Skanska Services.

Hans Biorck, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Thomas Alm will, as a member of the Senior Executive Team, be responsible for operations conducted within Skanska BOT, Skanska International Projects and Sade Skanska.

Johan Bergman's role in the Senior Executive Team will be to assume responsibility for Skanska's project development within Skanska Project Development Sweden, Skanska Project Development Europe and Skanska Project Development USA.

Keith Clarke, Executive Vice President, is responsible for Skanska UK, Skanska Poland and IPS Skanska in the Czech Republic.

Johan Karlstrom, Executive Vice President, is responsible for Skanska Sweden, Skanska Denmark, Selmer Skanska and Skanska Oy.

Daniel Johannesson, Executive Vice President, with responsibility for special projects.
