Church's Chicken(tm) Offers Free JCPenney Portraits Certificate


ATLANTA, April 21, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Church's Chicken(tm), a division of AFC Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq:AFCEE), today announced it will be offering a certificate for a free sitting and an 8x10 portrait at any JCPenney Portraits studio when customers purchase any family meal. This promotion will be available for a limited time only -- April 28 to May 25, 2003 at participating Church's Chicken restaurants throughout the United States.

The certificate, which has a retail value of $22.98, will be redeemable at any JCPenney Portraits studios in the United States. This is the first time that Church's has partnered with JCPenney Portraits, a division of Lifetouch Portrait Studios Inc. JCPenney Portraits has over 420 studios in 47 states.

"Since family is especially important to our customers, this offer occurs around many family-oriented observances-Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and graduation," said Hala Moddelmog, president of Church's Chicken.
