LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- PracticeXpert, Inc. (OTCBB:PXPT), today announced that it has signed a Strategic Development and Marketing Agreement with CareDecision Corp. (OTCBB:CDED).
CareDecision Corp. is the developer of MD@Hand, a suite of inpatient and outpatient management products that operate on a wireless handheld device ("PDA"). The products provide for prescription writing, data maintenance, outpatient management, scheduling, laboratory control and emergency response. Through the PDA physicians can access case/episode diagnosis and treatment (commonly referred to as electronic medical records, or EMR), best care medical protocols, prescription drug databases, lab order entry, accident/worker's compensation intervention modules, plan and procedure eligibility, procedure/drug authorization, and patient referral.
Under the Agreement, PracticeXpert intends to embark on a program designed to integrate MD@Hand with PracticeXpert's PXpert (tm) patent-pending hand-held patient encounter system and billing service. Upon completion of certain market research and product evaluation activities, PracticeXpert plans to market MD@Hand to its existing physician customers, and new physician customers, through its national sales and marketing team. CareDecision, in conjunction with PracticeXpert, will continue with ongoing product development and technical support.
