Claritas Updates Data on its iMark Software Application

Latest Data Update Provides a Wide Range of Enhancements


SAN DIEGO, Oct. 13, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Claritas Inc., the premier provider of intelligent marketing information and target marketing services, announced today its latest data update to the current version of the iMARK site analysis software application -- iMARK 3.6 -- providing a range of enhancements in support of site location and customer analysis.

Claritas Assistant Vice President Stephen Ungar pointed out that the update has, among other things, integrated information from the 2000 Census long form into Claritas demographic estimates and projections, most notably the data related to income and housing.

"The release of the annual Claritas Data Update within our software platforms is the culmination of an expansive effort. This year, we also have access to new Census information, allowing us to replace many of the 1990 Census figures within iMARK with the new 2000 Census data that are now available. This data, along with the Census short form data we integrated with the 2002 Data Update, will help in answering questions related to site location and customer analysis," Ungar said.


 The new enhancements include:

 -- Data updates and new data rosters -- databases and boundary 
    files have been updated with the latest data.
 -- Data enhancements, including new fields, expenditure data 
    and automatically calculated variables.
 -- Four new reports -- Senior Life, Young Adults, Middle Years,
    and Effective Buying Income reports have been added in 
    this release.
 -- Database Help -- this option has been added to the Help menu 
    to provide assistance with specific database questions.
