These spherical beads are commonly used by researchers for mechanical disruption of many sample types especially bacteria and yeast cells. The use of Disruptor Beads, along with Scientific Industries' Disruptor Genie(r) and TurboMix(tm) attachment for the Vortex-Genie(r) 2 or Vortex-Genie(r) 2T, may be used for rapid and effective sample disruption in up to 12 microtubes.
