Dex Media is currently being spun off from its parent company, Qwest Communications, by the Carlyle Group. Dex Media needed to form its own extensive IT and Communications center, and will be using HipLinkXS as the wireless alert notification component for their network monitoring software.
HipLinkXS notifies key Dex Media personnel of potential events generated by the monitoring software such as downed systems, slow output, and application failures. In order to interface with dozens of servers at the same time, Dex Media will be using a number of advanced features such as LDAP authentication and the HipLinkXS' SOAP module (an XML standard for implementing web services) to integrate messaging in their .NET applications, and if they choose, to incorporate SMS messaging and paging.
