Medinex Systems, Inc. Results of Annual Meeting; Company Changes Name & Stock Symbol


SAN JOSE, Calif., April 7, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Maxus Technology Corporation, formerly Medinex Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:MXUS), a supplier of Global Asset Management Solutions, today announced that at its Annual Meeting of Stockholders held March 22, 2004 the following proposals were approved:

Company Name and Symbol Change

Stockholders approved the changing of the company's name from Medinex Systems, Inc. to Maxus Technology Corporation. As a result of the name change, the company's stock ticker symbol was changed effective on April 7, 2004 to MXUS.

Mr. David Smith, CEO of Maxus Technology Corporation, said, "We chose Maxus Technology Corporation as the company's new name to remind us where we have been in our corporate growth, and to capitalize on an emerging brand name in eWaste and Asset Recovery."

Election of Directors

At the Annual Meeting, David Smith, Michele Whatmore, Charles Whatmore, James Ross and William E. Thomson were elected as directors of the company to serve until the next annual meeting. The newly constituted board of directors then appointed David Smith as Chief Executive Officer; Michele Whatmore, as President; Charles Whatmore as Vice President- Business Development, and James Ross as Chief Financial Officer.
