The WGL Finalizes Plan's for Reality-Based Television Concept

ORLANDO, Fla., May 19, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The World Golf League, Inc. (OTCBB:WGFL) announced today that it has completed it plans for a reality-based television series based on the WGL "Pay for Play" concept. Thirty-two players who will represent a cross section of the golf population will compete in four quarter final low net matches, where four will advance to the semi-final round and two to the final round. Sponsors will determine the final round prize money as the final round participants enjoy PGA Tour players as their caddies.

The concept will be shopped to several national and cable networks over the next several weeks as well as potential title sponsors. Sponsors will include such categories as golf, beverage, auto, finance and travel. "This is not unlike Who Wants to be a Millionaire, except that instead of using quiz show questions, we play golf," said Mike Pagnano, CEO The World Golf League, Inc. "The pay back for the WGL is significant national brand exposure and an alternative to our subscriber-based business model," Mr. Pagnano went on to say. The WGL expects the series to air mid to late summer 2004, over a six-week period. Player entries for the series will be announced shortly on the WGL website.

The WGL markets a professional golf concept in the USA and 27 international venues, which allow average golfers to play for substantial prize money in local and regional tournaments culminating with a PGA-style national event and world championship.
