DMT Energy, Inc. To Initiate Seismic Program In New Mexico


CALGARY, Alberta, May 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Fred DaSilva, President of DMT Energy, Inc. ("DMT" or the "Company") (Pink Sheets:DMTY), announces that the Company has started the process to conduct its Seismic Program on its Granada Prospect in Guadalupe County, New Mexico.

Mr. DaSilva stated, "This is the first in a series of significant steps in developing a prospect that the company feels to be a key area as demonstrated by its commitment through the acquisition of 21,203 acres. Initially the seismic program will cover a minimum of 20 miles. The company has contacted Veritas DGC Inc. to put together a seismic program for the Granada prospect. It is the company's intention to initiate the seismic program once a seismic crew is available. Upon completion of the seismic program and reprocessing of the seismic data, the company plans to drill its first well immediately thereafter."

The discussions with a prospective joint venture partner are ongoing and the company hopes to have an agreement in place prior to commencement of the seismic program on Granada.
