HydroFlo Inc. Retains Perennial Strategy Group to Assist in Securing Allocation of $40 Billion in Homeland Security Grants and other Government Programs


RALEIGH, N.C., May 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- HydroFlo, Inc. (OTCBB:HYRF) today announced that the Company has retained Perennial Strategy Group to help introduce to federal officials the cost-effective benefits of HydroFlo's products and to assist in the effort to access potentially billions of dollars of grants and additional funding programs through the Department of Homeland Security and other governmental agencies.

Perennial will work with members of Congress, including the North Carolina delegation, committees with interest in water issues, and with other elements of U.S. leadership to highlight HydroFlo's capabilities in helping to ensure a safe and contaminant-free water supply. Included in this effort will be a continuation of the process of identifying and matching Research and Development funding opportunities for advanced product development with customers who are seeking financing to improve critical areas of U.S. water infrastructure.

John Milne, Principal, and Dana DeBeaumont, Director of Government Affairs for Perennial, will oversee HydroFlo's federal funding and legislative strategies. Mr. Milne served as Vice President for Jefferson Government Relations in Washington, D.C., representing clients in their environmental and healthcare areas. Additionally, Mr. Milne formerly served as Director of Federal Government Affairs for 3M in Washington, D.C.
