PlanetLink Communications Completes First Commercial Test Installations of TransTRAK

Installations are for tests in live environment at two Mexican companies

CUMMING, Ga., June 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- PlanetLink Communications Inc. (OTCBB:PLKC), a provider of satellite-based products and services, announced today that it has installed eight TransTRAK mobile locator units in vehicles operated by two large Mexican companies. The Company had previously announced that it has reached separate agreements with a major Mexican electric utility and one of Mexico's largest bus companies to test its mobile asset management systems. Installation of these eight units is the first step in testing the systems in a live environment. The mobile units communicate wirelessly with PlanetLink's proprietary tracking software to provide a wide range of information about vehicle location and behavior. The test periods are expected to last 60 to 90 days, during which time, customizations will be completed.

"There has been much preparation and development effort to bring us to this point, and it gives us a great sense of accomplishment to have our first units installed and working for these two prospective customers. Moreover, we are pleased that these companies are both very large organizations that have a combined fleet of 82,000 vehicles that need tracking devices," stated PlanetLink Communications CEO, Mr. Dewey Bain. "We could not have hoped for a better opportunity for our commercial product launch. In the coming weeks and months we will be working very closely with these prospective customers to make this testing period a success, in hopes that we can move forward with initial orders."

Although the initial test units are installed, and PlanetLink expects that the testing period will be successful, there is no guarantee that successful testing will lead to a contract.
