Thomas Cook Airlines, UK, Orders CTT Systems' Zonal Drying System for Three Boeing 757-200 Aircraft

NYKOPING, Sweden, July 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Thomas Cook Airlines, UK, has placed an order with CTT Systems for the Zonal Drying(TM) System to be installed in three Boeing 757-200 aircraft. The systems will be used for evaluation and could be followed by a fleet order if the trial is successful.

"This order from Thomas Cook Airlines UK is based on the improved economical and operational aspects using the Zonal Drying(TM) System and confirms the increased market awareness on condensation problems within the airline industry, especially in Europe among charter, regional jet operators and low cost airlines," said Torbjorn Johansson, president, CTT Systems. "Thomas Cook Airlines, UK is a very important client for us as they have a large fleet of aircraft and are also in the same group as Thomas Cook Airlines, Germany (ex. Condor)".

By eliminating condensation in the aircraft both operational and maintenance cost will be lowered through: - lowered fuel consumption (i.e. lower aircraft weight due to elimination of accumulated water), - improved operational reliability (i.e. less corrective maintenance) - consistent insulation performance (i.e. water destroys insulation performance).

Further, the aircraft residual value will be protected or even improved due to no corrosive impact over the years. The lowered aircraft weight will reduce the fuel burn, which also has a positive impact on the environment.
