Efficacy, Inc. Acquires a Leading Provider Of Homeland Security Products and Services

Company Set to Retire 106 Million Shares


LAS VEGAS, Oct. 19, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Efficacy, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EFCY) announced today it has acquired BPG Security International, Inc., a leading provider of homeland security products and services. According to the agreement, Efficacy has acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of BPG. In addition, the company will retire 106 million shares leaving 32 million shares issued and outstanding, according to Perry Cook, President of Efficacy.

"The acquisition of BPG Security International, Inc., gives us an innovative provider of cutting-edge products for the $34 billion plus homeland security market, said Mr. Cook. "Many of these proprietary products have tremendous revenue potential which we are committed to aggressively market."

Cook also said that Efficacy is requesting a name and symbol change shortly that the company anticipates will be completed in the very near future.

BPG Security International, Inc., is an emerging software/IT company specializing in developing and marketing products for security-based sectors such as Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Military, Industrial and Business Development. BPG's products have application potential with States, Counties, local jurisdictions as well as overseas governments. The company's proprietary software allows for greater tracking, efficiency and identification of criminal offenders, immigrants in the U.S. and other persons of interest.
