Ronnie Richardson, President of the Board of Executives of Fortis Bank Polska, Resigns


BRUSSELS, Belgium, Nov. 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ronnie Richardson today announced to Fortis Bank Polska's Supervisory Board his decision to resign. He will leave the company on 31 January 2005.

Ronnie Richardson said: "It wasn't an easy decision to leave Fortis where I was employed for some thirty years. During this time I've had the privilege to meet and work together with wonderful colleagues to help develop Fortis. I will remember this time fondly and wish them and Fortis all the best."

Luc Delvaux, Chairman of Fortis Bank Polska's Supervisory Board, commented: "We regret to see Ronnie Richardson leave the Bank at its current stage of development and thank him for the work he has accomplished. We wish him the very best in his new job."

The Supervisory Board will appoint his successor in due course.
