DENVER and LONDON, Nov. 23, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Quantech Electronics Corp. (Pink Sheets:QANT), through its recently acquired wholly owned subsidiary DimiTel Ltd, announced today the launch of its commercial Voice Over IP service for Small Businesses in the U.K.
The supply of the VoIP telephony services to SMEs will begin in the first quarter of 2005 in parallel to the launch in France. Having already signed with distributors the service will allow small and medium businesses in the U.K. to use the telephony service at reduced costs. DimiTel will utilize its DimiTalk switch service, and install a VoIP gateway on the customers existing PBX. The VoIP service will be used through the VoIP gateway and will re-route the customer's switchboard traffic through DimiTel's network. The customer may choose to route only certain traffic through Dimitel and keep existing routes via traditional lines.
According to the Managing Director of DimiTel Ltd, Mr. Rony Cohen, "Dimitel is planning to launch this service across Europe by the end of 2005."
