STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- VPC AB and OMX AB (publ) today announce that the parties have fulfilled the terms and conditions of the agreements regarding the merger of the OMX-owned Finnish Central Securities Depository (APK) and VPC, the Swedish equivalent, thereby creating a strong joint central securities depository group within the Nordic region.
Following the completion of the merger, the business area Settlement & Depository will be deconsolidated and will no longer be a part of the OMX organization.
