Travel Expert Stephanie Abrams' 4th Quarter Yields Regal Cinemas Philanthropic Honors and League of American Communications Professionals 2004 Best Website Bronze Award

Abrams to Host Second Holland America Fundraiser to Benefit Tucson's Giving Tree with Alaskan Cruise

NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- "Travel WITH Stephanie Abrams!" heard weekly coast-to-coast on the Business TalkRadio Network, focuses on a higher purpose, according to its Travel Expert host. The fourth quarter of 2004 saw the culmination of the year's endeavors to do more than entertain and inform the travel-targeted audience of her weekly show, heard Sundays nationally in the 7 pm to 9 pm ET time slot.

"My show provides the focus for secondary goals that have primary value," Abrams stated. "Through the cooperation of caring hoteliers and companies like Thrifty Car Rental, Woodfin Suites and Holland America Line, I have been able to create opportunities to benefit homeless children rescued by The Giving Tree Outreach Program of Tucson, Arizona; and charities such as The Will Rogers Fund and the Jimmy Fund which are supported by Regal Cinemas Berkshire Mall Theatre in Lanesborough, Massachusetts and their caring management team headed by Tom Harragan, Ed Codding and Jeremy Gaskin who presented me with a special award for my efforts.

"It has been very exciting to work with people within the travel industry whose hearts are as big as oceans and whose willingness to support charitable opportunities that clearly need attention has given special meaning to the value of celebrity recognition. It's all about what you have done to make the world a better place, especially for children and those who are in need," Abrams explained. "My assistance helps people where we have radio listeners."

Holland America's inaugural Caribbean sailing of The Westerdam, December 5, 2004, was a fundraiser for Tucson's Giving Tree Outreach Program with Libby Wright, its Executive Director; Stephanie Abrams; and listeners on board the ship. "It was great getting to know my audience from across the country," Abrams said, "and knowing that while they were having a great experience at sea they were also providing the promise of a better life for homeless children rescued by the Giving Tree."

Asked if she would do it again, Abrams responded: "With Holland America's gracious assistance, I am endorsing a fund-raising cruise in Alaska for the summer of 2005 to benefit the Giving Tree! The need goes on and on and I'd like to play a continuing part in helping to meet the challenges. I am considering assisting other charities whose mission is to help children and increase educational opportunities," Abrams explained, directing inquiries to her 2004 Bronze Award-Winning Website www.sabrams.com (recognized for the third year in a row by the League of American Communications Professionals), for upcoming program schedules, travel news, information on winning travel prizes, and updates on the Alaska fundraising cruise.
