AdZone Reports October Online Advertising Expenditures Up More than $45 Million

NEW YORK, Dec. 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- AdZone Research Inc. (OTCBB:ADZR), a pioneering Internet surveillance technology solutions provider, and an advertising research firm that tracks more than 95% of all Internet advertising revenue, today said in its latest Internet Advertising Report that in the month of October, the latest month for which actual figures are available, advertising spending on the Internet grew by more than $45 million.

The value of Internet advertising in October was $741.2 million, the highest figures since April. "We issue these monthly reports precisely so potential customers can see the depth of our information, and believe that both agency and corporate executives responsible for the placement of online ads will increasingly see the value of subscribing to our information, which can easily be customized to meet their specific needs, and generate ongoing and incremental revenues for AdZone," said John A. Cardona, the company's Chief Operating Officer.

"Technology continued its dominance as the top advertising category," said Cardona, "With more than $187 million in online spending, companies such as Dell Computer, Hewlett Packard and IBM continued their leadership among the top advertisers online in October.

"In addition," Cardona reported, "AdZone in November added an additional 50 websites to those it monitors, just in time to monitor pre- and post-Thanksgiving spending from November 18 through December 1, 2004." He said for the period from November 18 to November 24, estimated online ad expenditures amounted to $226.1 million. From November 25 through December 1, estimated expenditures were $235.4 million.

"Of that amount," Cardona said, "The technology sector again maintained its number one ranking, with total expenditures over the November 18 through December 1 period estimated at $121.7 million, approximately 26.4% of the $461.5 million online ad spending during this period.

"We continue to believe that as the economy strengthens, the online marketplace will continue to be a dominant force in the advertising arena, and we intend to be an important part of it through our customized online ad research programs on behalf of potential clients," the COO concluded.
