Customer Input Enables Optio to Deliver Product Enhancements to Help 5,000-Plus Users Improve Document-Driven Business Processes


ALPHARETTA, Ga., March 24, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Optio Software (OTCBB:OPTO) today announced that five new members will join the company's 2005-2006 Enterprise and Healthcare Customer Advisory Boards.

The two boards meet regularly to recommend product developments, offer their insights and provide feedback on product direction. The most recent meeting of the Healthcare Customer Advisory Board took place March 14-15, 2005, at Optio's world headquarters in Alpharetta, Ga. The Enterprise Customer Advisory Board met March 7-8, 2005. During the recent meetings, Customer Advisory Board members participated in sessions addressing Optio's product roadmap and strategic direction, and shared their feedback, deployment experiences and best practices.

A representative from Danaher Motion (Radford, Va.) joins existing Enterprise Customer Advisory Board members from Appleton (Appleton, Wis.); Motorola (Eglin, Ill.); Edward C. Levy (Dearborn, Mich.); City of Fort Collins, Colo.; Hutton Communications (Carrollton, Texas); Parametric Technology Corp. (Needham, Mass.); and Erie-Scientific (Portsmouth, N.H.).

New members selected for the Healthcare Customer Advisory Board include representatives from Memorial Health (Savannah, Ga.); Banner Health System (Greeley, Colo.); Middlesex Hospital (Middletown, Conn.); and Sharp HealthCare (San Diego, Calif.)

Existing members of the Healthcare Customer Advisory Board include representatives from: West Tennessee Healthcare (Jackson, Tenn.); Southeast Alabama Medical Center (Dothan, Ala.); Lutheran Health Network (Ft. Wayne, Ind.); Northeast Medical Center (Concord, N.C.); and ProMedica Health Systems (Oregon, Ohio).
