Pappas Telecasting Companies Promotes Mark Hodorowski to Corporate Director of Promotion


FRESNO, Calif., April 26, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pappas Telecasting Companies, the largest privately held, commercial television broadcast group in the United States, today announced that Mark Hodorowski, Creative Services Director of the company's Fresno Fox affiliate, KMPH-TV, has been promoted to the newly created position of Corporate Director of Promotion. The appointment is effective immediately. In his new position, Mr. Hodorowski will oversee the promotions departments of all of Pappas Telecasting's English-language television and radio stations. He will report to Howard H. Shrier, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the company's TV Stations Group.

In making the announcement, Mr. Shrier said, "Mark's leadership and enthusiasm will provide important promotional guidance to all of Pappas Telecasting's English-language stations. He is an accomplished marketer with a proven track record of success. We expect that he will make tremendous contributions as a member of our corporate management team."

Mr. Hodorowski's new duties will include recruiting, training, and developing station promotion managers and their staffs; organizing and coordinating the purchase of promotion media for each Pappas station; and establishing and developing a program for creative idea and resource sharing among the company's stations.

Since July 2003, Mark Hodorowski has been the Creative Services Director for Pappas Telecasting's stations in central California, where he has been responsible for all aspects of marketing the company's stations KMPH FOX 26 (Fresno-Visalia), KMPH FOX 17 (Merced), KBFX FOX 58 (Bakersfield), KFRE WB 59 (Fresno-Sanger), and KVBE-FM "Vibe 107.5" (Fresno). Prior to joining the company, he served as Promotion Manager for television stations in Springfield, Missouri, Madison, Wisconsin, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Previously, he held various positions at WVTV-18 in Milwaukee, culminating in his promotion to Promotion Manager of that station. In the community, Mr. Hodorowski has been involved with Easter Seals, The United Way, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Boy Scouts of America.
