Tarzana Treatment Centers is a non-profit organization providing a range of services for adult and teen/youth including medication detoxification, residential rehabilitation treatment, substance abuse, outpatient services and mental health treatment.

"We looked closely at several systems before choosing Mediware. Its Medication Management suite will allow us to accomplish a number of important goals. First, it will allow us to provide the safest possible medication environment for our clients. Second, it will help our staff by reducing the amount of manual documentation they need to accomplish and, finally, it will help us manage our business by giving us easy access to information about our drug costs and drug utilization that we have never had before," said Albert Senella, Chief Operating Officer, Tarzana Treatment Centers.

Through the use of Mediware's WORx integrated suite of solutions, Tarzana will achieve many medication delivery objectives. "Our implementation of Mediware's closed-loop medication solution is just the most recent example of the ongoing commitment we have to provide the best possible treatment to our clients. It also continues a 30-year legacy of leadership that Tarzana Treatment Centers has shown to our industry," said Scott Taylor, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Tarzana Treatment Centers.

The Medication Management integrated suite of solutions will offer Tarzana a common longitudinal view of a patient's current and past medication profile to physicians, pharmacists and nurses as well as immediate access to a variety of commercial drug reference databases and 5-rights verification through bar coding.

"We are pleased that Tarzana has decided to allow us to leverage our 20-plus years of experience delivering medication solutions to the benefit of its clients and staff. Our unique, medication-focused approach to improving patient safety is allowing us to deliver to Tarzana a complete and truly integrated closed-loop medication solution quickly and cost-efficiently," said Neil Moore, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mediware.
