NEC Selects Emulex 4 Gb/s HBAs for Its Express 5800 Server Series

Signifies First Deployment of PCI Express-based NEC Servers with 4 Gb/s FC SAN Connectivity Support

COSTA MESA, Calif., Dec. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX), the most trusted name in storage networking connectivity, today announced that NEC Corporation has selected the Emulex LightPulse(r) LPe1150 4 Gb/s Fibre Channel HBA for integration into its Express 5800 series of Windows 2000/2003-based servers. The Emulex LPe1150 host bus adapter includes native support for the high performance PCI Express bus technology in NEC's new PCI Express based server line.

NEC selected the Emulex LPe1150 as the exclusive Fibre Channel connectivity solution for its new class of 4 Gb/s PCI Express based Express 5800 server family.
